As part of its commitment to supporting vulnerable women, Shokesta facilitated the participation of 83 widows and women-led entrepreneurs at a Business Loan Capacity Building Training hosted by Stanbic IBTC Bank in partnership with the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) of Prof. Pat Utomi. The intensive one-day session focused on equipping women with tools for financial growth and sustainability.
All 83 participants were drawn from Shokesta’s network of registered beneficiaries. The training provided practical guidance on business loan readiness, access to financial services, and POS machine usage—key tools to help these women run and scale their small businesses effectively.
This collaboration marks another milestone in Shokesta’s mission to create opportunities for underserved women. Through partnerships like this, the organization continues to open doors for economic empowerment and long-term impact in local communities.
